Our little vacation is almost here, it can't come fast enough!
My bags are packed and the plane leaves tomorrow morning.

The Legend of the Green Milk

The Legend of the Green Milk
(To be read in a slow, somewhat spooky Irish accent.)

Once upon a time, many years ago,
in a glorious land of rainbows and overflowing pots of gold,
 lived a Leprechaun...

He was a very special Leprechaun, and had one important job.
He'd wait all year round, for the eve of  'the day of the wearing of the green',
 Then...

Sometime in the wee midnight hour that sneaky little leprechaun
would invade fridges and iceboxes everywhere,
and deposit an assortment of items in his favorite hue.
 You know,
the legend says if you consume green milk,
 delivered by a leprechaun himself,
on the morning of the emerald sun,
you will be transformed into one of the little red bearded,
clover loving, knicker wearing, rainbow lurkers...

Proof!

What else would the Leprechaun leave?
 Lucky Charms, of course -
 They're magically Delicious!

Some Lucky Leprechaun Brew to chug in honor of Saint Patrick.

I used free printable labels from Here .

Goodie Bags filled with golden nuggets.

I used the free printables from Here .

Marines Birthday Party

I was sorting through pictures last night,
and came across these of Kolby's birthday party last year.
Boy, a year has whizzed by!

Kolby wanted a Marines Birthday Party.
Lucky for him, we have resident Sgt. Knightmare in the house!

We sent the draft notice out to all young men of age.

Hung the balloons. Using This technique.

Stocked the Armory.

 And prepped the Chow Hall.

Once the soldiers arrived for Bootcamp,
we issued uniforms, dog tags, and gave each a few tattoos.

Then they met with Sgt. Knightmare for the low down.

They were issued their weapons -
 Single Barrel Marshmallow Shooters.

And engaged in some tactical training exercises.

Unfortunately, we had a few casualties,

Luckily nothing high doses of sugar couldn't fix!
Fun was had by all!

Each soldier graduated with honors and was sent home with new skills and a loot bag .

A proud 8 year old soldier!

The Queen of Hearts

We started the 'Week of Love' with our annual Valentine Dinner.
I thought it would be fun to use these mini heart cards as the place setting tags.
I coordinated the numbers with where the kids fit in the family -
If you are the second born child you find the 2 of Hearts and so on.
The King of Hearts found his seat at the head of the table,
 and rightly so,
I took my spot in the Queen of Hearts chair.

It also happened to be our Anniversary yesterday.

Ten years ago I married Mr. King of Hearts...
We actually took our children on our honeymoon with us.
So a 'Lovely' dinner with the kids was quite fitting.

At the end of the month we will be taking a little trip to Cabo,
 to celebrate us-
This time we won't be taking the children!

Valentine Sweet Tooth

A few of the Valentine 'Goodies' around the house.

Isn't this vintage bubblegum machine nostalgic?

One of my favorite things to do each holiday,
is fill glass jars or fun containers with seasonal colored candies and treats.

Then I have to strategically place them throughout the house
in places that I cannot access easily!

I may or may not have had to replenish the M&M's a couple times?
- They were peanut - My Favorite!
